Pickin’ in Maine

In Ogunquit, Maine, this past weekend and did a little poking around the wonderful and dusty vintage and antique shops.

Cute labelled liquor decanters

Late 50s dotted pilsner glasses

Mini-toy chest (About a foot and half high and half a foot or so deep. Would be a fab jewelry chest.)

Vintage lunchboxes!

Love this rattan coffee table. I’m on a rattan kick! Currently coveting these vintage highballs wrapped in rattan.

Great shape on this lady’s bucket chair.

No chance to do tons of shopping. Mostly because of this type thing happening:

Love this little guy and need him for the nursery. (The print not the actual baby monkey.) Great things from The Animal Print Shop.

I love Carol Fertig! My favorite Object Lesson thus far. Babe Paley in her suite at the St. Regis (decorated by Billy Baldwin). Photographed by Lord Snowdon, 1958. (Those are Verdura cuffs she’s wearing).

Fun with Ghost Chairs

I’ve paired Ghost chairs (well, knock-offs) with a more traditional-looking dining table now in two projects. It just works so well in small spaces! (Photos from my projects TK!) A bit of inspiration:

Bridal Shower Flowers

I hosted a shower this past weekend for a dear friend, and had a lot of fun with the flowers. (Downside: my husband is apparently allergic to hyacinth, which is one of my favorites.)

Tulips, hyacinth, peonies and gerbers were perfect with a Marimekko cloth.

Kayce Hughes

I discovered Kayce Hughes shop (her one and only, unfortunately!) in Chattanooga last weekend. I am smitten and a tiny bit upset to be coming across her stuff just now.

The absolutely adorable Patricia Dress.

She makes amazing tunics and dresses in the cutest fabrics. I need every piece for summer.

Chelsea Textiles Gräshoppa! I love these tripod floor lamps, and excellent news: no longer are they made-to-order only.
