ABOUT

Alexa Stevenson founded Alexa Stevenson Interior Design in 2010, bringing an editorial perspective to residential design, honed during her years with Shelter Magazine Group, Cottages & Gardens Publications, and British luxury brand William Yeoward Crystal. Her signature interiors are defined by comfortable, approachable elegance, layered with textiles, color and a mix of old and new that feels collected over time.

Her interiors balance beauty with the demands of real life. To Alexa, a home is more than an “Instagrammable moment:” It is a foundational and, more importantly, functional backdrop for real life. Her process begins with a simple question: How do you want to feel here? Whether it’s where the kids do homework or where you enjoy your first cup of coffee, her designs prioritize comfort, personal history and approachable elegance. Her interiors layer color, pattern, and texture—an effortless, confident medley.

After 13 years in New York City, Alexa relocated to Athens, Ga., where she and her team work with clients across the country. Expanding her vision for livable luxury, Alexa launched Loom by ASID in 2025, a custom rug collection rooted in classical motifs and historic textiles, reimagined through a fresh, colorful lens. The collection includes hand-knotted wool rugs, colorful wool dhurries, and indoor/outdoor PET yarn rugs. Each is designed to layer beautifully in both traditional and contemporary interiors.

Alexa is also the co-owner of Lex and King, a collection of colorful, functional and classic-with-a-twist table linens and accessories. You can learn more about it here!
